Simon was IBM’s first Data Privacy Officer for UK & Ireland and Chair of the EMEA Privacy Review Board from 2007 to 2011. He then joined Concentium, a boutique Privacy advisory firm, specialising in risk and assurance and designing privacy management frameworks for global and domestic clients across multiple sectors, including retail, FS, life sciences, communications, entertainment and e-commerce.
He continued this work when Concentium was acquired by KPMG, before returning in 2015 to a DPO role with Asda-Walmart, where he developed the global privacy programme.
He is now a freelance privacy consultant, specialising in tech start-ups, advising a number of well-known PrivacyTechs, and DPO coaching.
Simon is a Fellow of Information Privacy (IAPP) and a non-practising Barrister.
